Balchaturbhadra is the age old formula and the most commonly employed in Ayurvedic paediatric practice. It is very safe and effective remedy to overcome routine digestive complaints of children like diarrhea, griping pain, flatulence etc. It improves digestion hence help promote healthy physical growth and boosts immunity to protect child from minor infections.

 

Indication :

Common digestive problems of children like indigestion, flatulence, griping, diarrhea, intestinal worms, loss of appetite and low weight.

 

Composition:

Ativisha (Aconitum heterophyllum), Pippali (Piper longum), Karkatshringi (Pistacia integerrima), Nagarmotha (Cyperus rotundus).

 

Dosage:

Children:
6 months to 1 yr - ¼ teaspoonfuls (¼ g) 2 to 3 times a day mixed with honey
1 to 8 yrs - ½ teaspoonfuls (½ g) 2 to 3 times a day mixed with honey
8 to 15 yrs - 1 teaspoonful (1 g) 2 to 3 times a day mixed with honey or as directed by physician.
